By applying, you agree to receive newsletters, confirmations, and event updates related to SAFETY 2026.
MEDIA REQUIREMENTS
Media applications will be processed only upon receipt of the fully completed online application form and the required credentials listed below:
OFFICIAL PRESS CARD
Kindly note that it is obligatory to upload a copy of your official press card to the media application portal.
MEDIA ACCREDITATION
Due to a number of restrictions and limited space, preference will be given to traditional media and credible online news sources.
The following documents will be required to verify they are journalists:
PRINT JOURNALISTS – NEWSPAPER, MAGAZINE, OR SCIENTIFIC PUBLICATIONS, NEWSLETTERS
· Copies of three published articles in recognized media outlets with a by-line. No word documents will be accepted, only copies of the original published article. If these articles were published online, the complete URL may be sent, and,
· A letter from your editor, on the official letterhead of your organization, stating that he/she supports your application and that you have been assigned to cover the conference, and,
· A copy of your press card. If you do not have a press card, the letter from your editor must state this clearly.
BROADCAST JOURNALISTS AND VIDEOGRAPHERS
· A letter from your editor, on the official letterhead of your organization, stating that he/she supports your application and that you have been assigned to cover the conference, and,
· A copy of your press card. If you do not have a press card, the letter from your editor must state this clearly.
INTERNET JOURNALISTS (OFFICIAL NEWS WEBSITES)
· The complete URLs of three published articles with a by-line, and,
· A letter from your editor, on the official letterhead of your organization, stating that he/she supports your application and that you have been assigned to cover the conference, and,
· A copy of your press card. If you do not have a press card, the letter from your editor must state this clearly.
BLOGGERS
This category will be marked on the quality and relevance of the links provided. Being published on a blog does not automatically guarantee media accreditation.
· The complete URLs of three blog posts written in 2024/2025 articles with a by-line, and,
· A letter from your organization, on the official letterhead of your organization, stating that he/she supports your application and that you have been assigned to cover the conference, and,
· A copy of your press card. If you do not have a press card, the letter from your organization must state this clearly.
NGOS
This category will be marked on the quality and relevance of the articles provided.
· Copies of three specific articles that have been published by you for your organization in 2025/2026, or the complete URLs of three related articles you have written that have been published by your organization in 2024/2026, with your by-line, and,
· A letter for your organization stating that they support your application and that you have been assigned to cover the conference for your newsletter or other publications /information websites, and,
· A copy of your press card. If you do not have a press card, the letter from your organization must state this clearly.
GENERAL
There is no fee for media registration.
All submitted credentials will be thoroughly checked and verified by the Media Secretariat and additional credentials may be requested before accreditation is approved.
Each media outlet will be granted a maximum of two media registrations except where the media outlet is able to justify, in writing, why they require more than two registrations.
The number of media registrations for small newsletters is limited to one person per organization, unless additional media registrations are justified, in writing, to the Media Secretariat.
